Field Service Technician

Overview:

JPtheGeek is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves onsite installations and troubleshooting of network systems, security equipment, and hardware. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering exceptional service, learning continuously, and upholding our high standards of professionalism and client care.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Install and configure network wiring, terminations, security cameras, access control systems, Wi-Fi networks, server hardware, and wall-mounted equipment.

·       Perform troubleshooting and resolve issues with existing equipment and installations.

·       Provide clients with clear verbal and written operating instructions for new equipment and systems.

·       Maintain a clean and organized workspace during and after installations.

·       Conduct testing to ensure all installations are functioning correctly.

·       Record and monitor stock levels to ensure adequate supplies.

·       Maintain and ensure the cleanliness and functionality of the company vehicle.

·       Suggest optimal equipment placements for enhanced functionality and safety.

·       Travel to client sites, primarily businesses with occasional residential visits.

·       Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

·       Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·       Effective time and task management abilities.

·       Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

·       High level of integrity and honesty in professional conduct.

·       Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, use lifts or ladders for extended periods, and work in confined spaces.

·       Proficiency in Active Directory and Office 365 is a plus.

·       Commitment to learning and adapting in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

·       Ability to crouch, kneel, and perform physical tasks for extended durations.

·       Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

·       Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving technology and client needs.
